Reconnect, spaces for human connection

I built Reconnect because, at some point, I needed it myself.

For fifteen years, I worked in international events, creating experiences and bringing people together across countries and cultures. I learned how much care, attention and invisible detail it takes to create a space where something meaningful can happen.

Then life asked me to turn that attention inward.

Through burnout, motherhood, recovery, relationships, loss, reinvention and a great deal of questioning, I began to notice the ways I had learned to move through life: achieving, adapting, controlling, proving, always moving on to the next thing.

Eventually, I arrived at a simpler question:

What happens when we allow ourselves to truly experience being human?

What happens when what has been hidden, my shame, my suffering, can be seen?

Instead of coming out violently, through behaviours that disconnect me from my essence, what happens if it can come out with tenderness and softness?

What happens when I stop treating these feelings as shameful or secret and begin to give them time? To see them, speak about them with respect and honour these parts of myself?

Then, something changes.

What was once a burden can become an offering. What once isolated me can become a way of helping others feel less alone.

That is what changed my life.

Reconnect exists to make space for that to happen.

What I bring

Years of learning to feel, regulate and express my own emotions have taught me how to stay a steady, loving presence: to listen without judgment, accept people as they are and stay close through difficult moments without trying to fix everything, with curiosity and intuition.

I bring tenderness: I sit beside someone while they cry, I hold their hand, I put my hand gently on their head. I stay a little longer because they need more time. I listen to something they have been afraid or ashamed to say and let them experience what it feels like to still be accepted.

Sometimes the most important moments happen after everyone else has gone to bed, when someone needs another hour to talk, cry, or simply have someone stay with them.

I bring a deep belief in truth: the kind where I can say what I am actually feeling, even when I am ashamed of it. Where I can change my mind. Where I can say, “I said yes because I wanted to please you, but actually I don’t want to go,” and discover that I can still be loved and accepted.

That kind of honesty has changed my life.

Reconnect is a human project. We will try things. Some will work beautifully; some will surprise us. We will make mistakes, learn, change direction and keep discovering what these spaces can become.

When I create an experience, I pay attention to the people, the place, the music, the food, the light, the rhythm of the day, the conversations and the moments when everyone suddenly becomes quiet.

Sometimes I host. Sometimes I invite someone because something in me tells me they belong in that particular room, with those particular people. Sometimes I ask a question. Sometimes I listen. Sometimes I hold someone’s hand.

And sometimes, I simply let whatever is happening happen.

I am there, experiencing it too.

People & collaborators

Reconnect comes alive through the gifted people who find their way into the room.

A therapist shares a practice they love. An artist reveals a new way of expressing. A facilitator holds a question we may never have thought to ask. Through them, we are invited into new places within ourselves.

Someone may arrive carrying an idea, a story, or a feeling they have not yet found words for. They hold up a mirror; we create the container for your experience.

Each person brings something invisible: what they have lived, what they long for, what they are ready to share and who they are still becoming.

And somehow, when the right people gather at the right moment, something happens that none of us could have created alone.

Reconnect keeps evolving through these encounters: through the people, the conversations, the silences and the unexpected possibilities that emerge when we come together.
