Across five evenings, we will remember, acknowledge, put into words, look at our stories with tenderness and explore what we want to write next.

Remembering Our Stories

An evening to give memory some room. To let what wants to return surface, a person, a place, a scene, a feeling that stayed. We begin with what is already there and give ourselves time to remember.

Acknowledging Our Stories

An evening to spend time with something that happened. What was it? What did it feel like then? What does it feel like now? Through writing, we give the experience a place in our story and acknowledge what it meant to us.

The Stories We Carry

An evening to put some of our stories into words. The ones we tell about ourselves, the ones we return to and the ones that have shaped the way we see ourselves and the world. We write, we share if we want to and notice what becomes visible when a story is given words.

Loving Our Stories

An evening to look at the whole of our story with tenderness. The contradictions. The choices that made sense at the time. The losses, the turns, the people we have been. To make room for all of it and explore what it might mean to love our story as part of who we are.

Writing What Comes Next

The longest night of the year. An evening to sit with what our stories have taught us and what the series has opened. To write toward what we want to carry forward: a direction, a desire, a word, a sentence, or the beginning of something we are ready to experience next.
